Mobile partitions of the construction set forth above, as they serve in particular for the division of larger spaces (such as open plan offices and exhibition and exhibition areas) are known in various designs. By the wall elements along their edge profiles, i. along the side profiled edge regions abut each other, not only results in aesthetic terms advantages in terms of a visually more or less continuous surface. In the light of the above-mentioned prior art, the present invention seeks to provide a generic mobile partition that meets three practical core requirements in a special way by being easy to build, is highly stable and offers excellent sound insulation.
This object is achieved according to the present invention by at least one of the engagement body (of at least one connecting element) in a mobile partition of the type specified a fixedly connected to the web body and a parallel to the median plane of the web relative to the body slidable clamping body comprises, between the clamping body and the base body, a displacement of the clamping body relative to the base body causing clamping device, the clamping body and the base body along a sliding surface abut each other and the sliding surface and the clamping device cooperate such that the clamping body upon actuation of the clamping element in the median plane of the Steges is moved in the direction of the opposite, second engagement body. Particular advantages of the present invention, when, according to a preferred embodiment, the edge profiles on both sides of the web in the region of resilient sealing edges abut each other. In connection with the possible in the application of the present invention bracing the wall elements along their edge profiles, the resilience of the sealing edges can contribute in a special way to a particularly pronounced high-quality sound insulation.
According to yet another preferred development is in an end position - effected by the clamping device - adjustment of body and clamp body relative to each other, the base against the bottom of the channel and the clamping body clamped against two opening slit bounding lips. The clamping device whose operation causes the displacement of the clamping body relative to the main body along the sliding plane, according to a yet another preferred embodiment of the present invention from the (in particular upper) end side of the edge profiling operable forth. In this way, the optical integrity of the wall elements including their edge profiles is maintained. In this sense, the tensioning device can in particular comprise a tensioning screw which extends in the longitudinal direction of the channel and can be adjusted from the end face of the edge profiling by means of a suitable tool (for example an Allen key). Merely for clarification, it should be noted that the edge profiles of the two wall elements are not necessarily formed by separate, connected to the production of the respective wall element with a wall body elements in the form of separate edge profiles.
